Michelle Williams Is Roxie Hart On Broadway!

This past weekend Makael and I attended the Saturday matinee of the Broadway play Chicago with Michelle Williams as Roxie Hart. This was my first time ever attending a Broadway play or attending a play period. I truly enjoyed this show and of course Michelle razzle dazzles as Roxie Hart! If you live or plan to be in the NYC make sure you go see this play. Michelle Williams will be Roxie Hart until March 28th and a possible extension is looming fingers crossed.

Fantasia To Resume As Celie After Canceling Shows Again!

Fantasia is currently reprising her role as Celie in The Color Purple Los Angeles at the Pantages Theatre.
The problem is she had to cancel over the weekend due to her vocal cords. Come on Fanny stop with these silly excuses and just do your damn job Fantasia’s management released the following statement:

The Color Purple regrets to announce that Fantasia will miss the remainder of this weekend’s performances of The Color Purple at the Pantages Theatre.

Fantasia did not perform in the Friday evening show due an inflammation of her vocal cords, and this morning, her doctor advised that for the fastest and most complete recovery she must sit out the remainder of the weekend.

Tomorrow on Vevo, the Black Eyed Peas will be releasing the music video for both singles “Rock That Body” and “Imma Be”. The video will be titled “Imma Be Rocking That Body”. I absolutely love both singles. The E.N.D is one my favorite albums on 2009. What do you think of this clip?

I know this a couple days late but its still worth press on my blog! Nominations for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday and the movie Precious got 6 nominations!!!

Precious is nominated for Best Movie
Lee Daniels is nominated for Best Director (2ND BLACK DIRECTOR EVER TO BE NOMINATED)
Gabourey Sidibe is nominated for Best Actress (1st Black Woman to be nominated after Halle Berry)
Mo’Nique is nominated for Best Supporting Actress
Precious is also nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Film Editing

Find out who will be taking Oscars home Sunday March 7th at 8:00PM as Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin hosts the 82nd Annual Academy Awards
